WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO: VERTIGO PANEL

DC Comics' Vertigo panel became the Brian Azzarello Show on Friday at Wizard World Chicago.

Editor Will Dennis and Azzarello, who have worked together for nearly 10 years, were the only panelists for the event.

They talked about the upcoming Joker OGN, 100 Bullets and more.

* Marvel Comics has announced a second printing for Hulk #4. It will feature a wraparound cover of Ed McGuinness' interior art and will be in store on July 30.

Marvel also announce a July 23 release for Avengers/Invaders #1 Director's Cut. The book will reprint the issue, with additional material and a new cover by Alex Ross.

* Universal's Wanted will premiere in 3,175 theaters on Friday and will face a big obstacle from Disney/Pixar's Wall-E, which will open in 3,992 theaters.

* According to USA Today, Sin City co-director Robert Rodriguez will re-team with Rose McGowan as producer in a live-action Red Sonja movie. Douglas Aarniokoski will direct the film, which is expected to begin production in October.

* The Season 8 premiere of The CW's Smallville will be titled "Odyssey."
