Following the performance of Wanted over the weekend, Russian director Timur Bekmambetov should be a sought-after filmmaker.

A Wanted sequel seems likely, and Bekmambetov has expressed interest.

"We have a chance to do the next one, there's a lot of possibiltiies," Bekmambetov told The Continuum. "For example, we have a recovery room. Anything is possible if this world were to continue."

Bekmambetov said he's also interested in an original project that would involve "a new kind of martial arts," although there are no deals in place.

Are there any other comic books he would interested in for a film translation?

"Plastic Man," he said with a smile. "A very good comic. Plastic Man is unbelievable. You could make a great movie out of this. It would be a great story. Very funny."

Bekmambetov's interest in the DC Comics character was piqued during his appearance at the New York Comic Con in April.

* Image Comics has announced a second printing for the sold-out Invcincible #50. According to the publisher, the issue posted series' high initial sales.

"Issue 50 altered the series in a way we haven't seen since Omni-Man's true nature was revealed and people have really taken notice," said writer Robert Kirkman. "I think a lot of people will be even more surprised by what's next."

The limited edition second printing will be highlighted with a modified logo, emphasizing the cover's blood-splattered aftermath of the series-altering battle. The second printing will be in stores this month, although Image did not specify a release date.

* Upcoming episodes of NBC's Fear Itself will be "New Year's Day," written by Steve Niles from a story by Paul Kane, on Thursday, July 17; and "Skin and Bones," featuring Hellboy II: The Golden Army's Doug Jones, on Thursday, July 24.
