ASPEN COMICS' MICHAEL TURNER TRIBUTE

Aspen Comics has announced it will devote its Comic-Con International panel as a tribute to founder Michael Turner, who died from cancer on June 27 at age 37.

The panel will take place on Saturday, July 27 from 1-2:30 p.m.

According to Aspen Comics, it "highly encourages any industry colleagues and fans wishing to pay their respects and help honor Michael Turneršs life both inside and out of comics to attend this special tribute event."

In addition to Turneršs family, close friends and co-workers, Aspen will be honoring Turner's legacy with guest speakers from the comic book industry and beyond, all who were touched by Turner in some form or fashione Aspen will present an inspirational look into Turner's life and career throughout the tribute.

MARVEL COMICS ROUNDUP

Marvel Comics has announced a third printing for Secret Invasion #2. The new printing will have a new cover featuring the pencils to Leinil Yu's second issue variant.

The issue will be in stores on August 20.

Marvel also released David Nakayama's variant cover to Big Hero Six #1, which will be in stores on Sept. 10.

MORTAL KOMBAT VS. DC UNIVERSE

Midway has released seven more screenshots from its upcoming Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe video game.

The images showcase the new fighting mechanics, Freefall Kombat and Klose Kombat, as well as the latest characters that have been unveiled on the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe roster, Catwoman, The Flash, Sonya and Shang Tsung.

Here's how Midway describes the game:

"For the first time ever Scorpion, Sub-Zero and the Mortal Kombat warriors battle with Batman, Superman and other popular DC Universe Super Heroes. Choose your side and challenge your opponents with a new fighting system including Freefall Kombat and Klose Kombat along with dynamic multi-tiered environments.
