SUNDAY, JULY 27, 2008MORE NEWS ON SUNDAYCheck back throughout the day for additional coverage.
Comic-Con International turned out to be a big display for Marvel animation properties, with five panels devoted to its upcoming television series and direct-to-video films.
Following up panel coverage are some additional highlights.
* Sony has provided The Continuum an image of the poster from The Spectacular Spider-Man it was giving away at Comic-Con. It reveals the first look at Mysterio and Kraven, two of the new villains for the next season.

While it was announced that Season 2 will likely begin around March, it was not announced where the show will air. It is highly unlikely that Spider-Man will return to The CW 4Kids.
With Iron Man: Armored Adventures and Wolverine and the X-Men set to air on Nicktoons, The Continuum asked Keith Dawkins -- General Manager, Nicktoons Network and Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Programming Partnerships -- if Spider-Man could be headed to his network.
"I'll say this, the Marvel deal, and having these two shows coming to air, has opened up a whole bunch of conversations with people who probably at one time didn't think we would go in that direction with this type of content," Dawkins said. "Because of the deal, we're able to have conversations with a whole bunch of exciting possible partners, as well as continued conversations with Marvel about a variety of other things."
* Marvel and Nicktoons have provided The Continuum a look at the designs for Iron Man villains The Mandarin, Whiplash and Blizzard. Marvel's Josh Fine noted at this weekend's panel that the Iron Man villains will have a technological look.
