NEXT AVENGERS: HEROES OF TOMORROW

Lionsgate has provided The Continuun four images from Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, the direct-to-DVD animated movie scheduled for a Sept. 2 release.

Here's how Lionsgate describes the movie:

"Whenever the forces of evil threatened mankind, Earth's mightiest heroes the Avengers were there to stop them -- until they made the ultimate sacrifice in their final fight with the indestructible robot, Ultron. But all was not lost for Tony Stark (Iron Man) kept the children of the Avengers safe and raised them to become the teenage heroes of tomorrow. Now James (Son of Captain America and Black Widow), Torunn (Daughter of Thor), Azari (Son of the Black Panther), and Pym (Son of Wasp and Giant Man) must finish the fight their parents started. Soon the arrow-slinging son of Hawkeye will join their ranks but it will take more than five teens to destroy the machine that defeated their parents. If these young heroes have any hope of winning they must find the missing Hulk and come together as... the Next Avengers!"

WAR HEROES SELLS OUT

Image Comics has announced a second printing for War Heroes #1, which sold out within 24 hours of release.

"Much like Kick-Ass, the response to War Heroes has taken a lot of people by surprise," said writer Mark Millar. "Stores all over are reporting sell outs and are reordering as many as possible, even as the initial supply is exhausted! Those fans from Ultimates are coming to War Heroes in droves so we're putting even more copies out there!"

With War Heroes, Millar and artist Tony Harris have created a thematic sequel to their many works including Civil War, Kick-Ass and Ex Machina and The Ultimates as a United States torn by terrorism gives its citizens the one thing they can use to fight back against a world gone mad - superpowers.

The second printing, scheduled for an August release, will feature a new cover by Harris, spotlighting the super-powered nature of their soldiers of tomorrow.
