THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN: SEASON 2

The first episode of the second season of The Spectacular Spider-Man will feature Mysterio, The Continuum has learned.

A preview of the episode, titled "Blueprints," was shown at Comic-Con International in San Diego last week. The episode was directed by Jennifer Coyle and written by Kevin Hopps -- both returning from Season 1.

The episode will also include the Master Planner, a key figure in the early part of Season 2.

The second season of The Spectacular Spider-Man is targeted to begin in March on a to-be-announced network. The series will not return to The CW 4Kids, which, starting next Saturday, is reducing airings to single showings on Saturdays at 9 a.m.
