HEROES ROUNDUP

NBC has released 13 new promotional images for the upcoming third season of Heroes.

In addition to a group shot, the images individual feature James Kyson Lee as Ando Masahashi, Cristine Rose as Angela Petrelli, Hayden Panettiere as Claire Bennet, Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Dania Ramirez as Maya Herrera, Jack Coleman as H.R.G., Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, Adrian Pasdar as Nathan Petrelli, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Mohinder Suresh, Ali Larter as Niki Sanders/Jessica, Zachary Quinto as Sylar and Milo Ventimiglia as Peter Petrelli.

* NBC described the one-hour clip show that will precede the two episodes that kick off Season 3 on Sept. 22:

"The cast of NBC's award-winning drama hosts a special one-hour countdown special that will take viewers behind-the-scenes and down the red carpet, through the ropes and into the exclusive premiere party at L.A. hot spot Edison. As the last minutes before 'Volume Three: Villains' tick down, an assortment of special, never-before-broadcast segments will highlight special moments, review key details, and reveal some fun, all-new information about the worldwide phenomena's past two seasons, including a review of possible suspects in 'Who Shot Nathan?'; a peek at how some cool special effects sequences were pulled off; a look at the series¹ increasing global popularity and sample of some of the many languages the series has been translated into; an exclusive reveal of the series many inside nods to Star Trek; and much more."

* A Special Deluxe Edition Heroes Soundtrack will be available in wide release starting Sept. 9. Released by NBC Universal through its NBC Records label, the Deluxe Edition album will will feature a multi-panel foldout package that includes more than 20 illustrations from graphic artists Tim Sale and Steven Parke.

The soundtrack was executive produced by Errol Kolosine, in collaboration with Heroes creator and executive producer Tim Kring and Heroes executive producer and director Allan Arkush.

Offering a mix of artists from Bob Dylan and Panic! At The Disco to the show's music composers Wendy & Lisa, the album also offers a number exclusive tracks including a duo with Brighton Port Authority and Iggy Pop and Wilco's "Glad It's Over," as well as The Jesus & Mary Chain's first new studio recording in more than a decade, "All Things Must Pass."

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES -- LEVEN RAMBIN

Leven Rambin, who plays Riley for Season 2 of Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, said her character charms John Connor in the show.

"He doesn't really have that many friends his own age and finds her very odd and fascinating," Rambin said.

* Boom! Studios and The Jim Henson Company have announced that Keith R.A. DeCandido will be scripting the Farscape mini-series from an original story by Farscape creator Rockne O'Bannon.

DeCandido has authored more than 30 novels, include the Farscape novel House of Cards, released in 2001. DeCandido also wrote three short stories in that universe for the show's official magazine and role-playing game.

* Marvel Comics has announced a second printing for the sold-out Amazing Spider-Man #570, the third part of the "New Ways To Die" story.

The new printing features John Romita Jr.'s interior art on the cover and will be in stores on Oct. 8.

* The CW will rebroadcast "Odyssey," the Season 8 premiere of Smallville, on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. (ET).
