Television news -- and much more!

HEROES: "THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT" AND "ONE OF US, ONE OF THEM"

NBC has released eight images from "The Butterfly Effect," the second new episode of Heroes to air on Monday, Sept. 22.

Here's how NBC describes the episode:

"Angela (Cristine Rose) confronts her much-changed son, Peter, as the bursts of violence around them only hint to the catastrophes to come. First, Sylar declares war on the Company by attacking their main facility, and finds even more than he bargained for on Level 5. During a devastating battle with Elle (guest star Kristen Bell), a dozen savage criminals -- all with terrible abilities -- escape.

"Meanwhile, Claire discovers something new and unexpected about her abilities. Determined to reclaim his familyıs terrible secret, Hiro and Ando track Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) to Paris. After a fateful night, Suresh is thrilled to find his research, his life and his relationship with Maya evolving in leaps and bounds. Stuck in unfamiliar territory, Matt finds a guide (guest star Ntare Mwine) to help him."

"The Butterfly Effect" will air at 10 p.m., following a clips episode at 8 p.m. and "The Second Coming" at 9 p.m.

NBC has also released a description of "One of Us, One of Them," the Monday, Sept. 29 episode:

"When four ruthless, powerful villains -- Knox (guest star Jaime Hector), Flint (guest star Blake Shields), The German (guest star Ken Lally) and Jesse (guest star Francis Capra) -- bust into a bank and take hostages, Angela (Cristine Rose) sends H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) and his shocking, new empowered partner in after them. Determined to derail a cataclysmic future, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) must first find what he lost along the way.

"Meanwhile, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) track Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) and part of 'the formula' to Germany, but run afoul of The Haitian (guest star Jimmy Jean-Louis). Horrified by her ability, Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) leaves Washington, D.C. to search for answers about Niki. A distraught Claire (Hayden Panettiere) asks Meredith (guest star Jessalyn Gilsig) to teach her how to fight. As his romance with Maya (Dania Ramirez) intensifies, Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) finds himself unprepared when his experiment yields some unexpected results."
