WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2008COMING THURSDAYDecember solicitations -- and much more!
Liza Del Mundo, who is providing the voice of Polaris in Nicktoon's upcoming Wolverine and the X-Men series, said her character appears in a handful of the 26 episodes.
"It's a great role to do since she is such a complicated character who starts out very young and naive and then goes on to become this force to be reckoned with," Del Mundo told The Continuum.
"It's always fun when I get a chance to do a voice that requires a lot of emotional work."
Del Mundo had a recurring role on ER and has appeared on such shows as Still Standing, The Bernie Mac Show, CSI: Miami and Gilmore Girls.
Her voice work includes Hay Lin on The Disney Channel's W.I.T.C.H. and several voices for Hellboy: Sword of Storms.

THE SIMPSONS: "LOST VERIZON"Denis Leary of Rescue Me and producer Brian Grazer are guest-starring as themselves in "Lost Verizon," the Sunday, Oct. 5 episode of The Simpsons on Fox.
Here's how Fox describes the episode:
"In order to save up money to buy a cell phone, Bart takes a job at a country club retrieving golf balls. While at the course, Bart watches celebrities, including Leary playing a round. When Leary's cell phone rings just as he is about to take a swing, he furiously throws the phone in the air and it lands right next to Bart. Bart decides to keep the cell and makes prank calls to all over the world pretending to be Leary. He even accepts a job offer from famed producer Grazer to star in the film version of 'Everyone Poops.'
"When Marge discovers what Bart has been up to, she confiscates the device and calls Leary to return the phone. But Leary has a better idea, and instructs Marge to activate the GPS system on the phone so she can track Bart's every move. Bart quickly catches on and devises a plan that sends the family on a wild goose chase all the way to Machu Picchu."
DINITOONS AT TOP COWTop Cow Productions has announced characters that will appear in Dinicartoons, the universe of Paul Dini's original creations that launches in November with Jingle Belle: Santa Claus vs. Frankenstein.
Characters will include: Little Rashy and Superrica the sock monkeys; Polly Green the Halloween witch; Ida Red, the spunky Texas cowgirl; Tashi Ounce, the snow leopard girl; and Hyper Hyena.
Look for the characters, who are a mix the new and previously created, to appear in 2009.
"I had a great experience working with Top Cow on Madame Mirage so I'm really happy to be bringing my cast of Dinicartoons characters there," said Dini, who recently completed the first volume of Madame Mirage with the publisher, which is now available in trade paperback.
Stephanie Gladden, a character artist at Cartoon Network, is the artist of Jingle Belle: Santa Claus vs. Frankenstein.
"I've been lucky to work with Stephanie a few times before on Jing," Dini said. "She's got a great classic cartoon style that I really love. It harkens back to her love for things like the wonderful Looney Tunes and Fleischer shorts, early Hanna/Barbera cartoons and the funnier Disney stuff. Also, she draws amazingly gorgeous girls, a big plus as the story stars both Jing and her cute witch friend Polly."
