X-Men, the 2000 film that helped launch a decade-long run of popular movies based on Marvel Comics characters, will be featured on Cinemax in December.

The film, directed by Bryan Singer, launched the career of Hugh Jackman, who is playing the character for a fourth time in next May's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

X-Men's first showing in December will be part of the Cinemax Legendary Fridays stunt on Friday, Dec. 5 at 10 p.m.

Other airing dates and times include Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 12:10 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 11 at 1:30 a.m.; Sunday, Dec. 14 at 10:45 a.m. and 6:40 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 22 at 8:15 p.m.; and Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 10 p.m.

In other X-Men news, a trailer X-Men Origins: Wolverine will not be attached to Max Payne, a 20th Century Fox representative told The Continuum. The film is currently in post-production and effects aren't ready for a full trailer.

A trailer seems likely with Fox's The Day The Earth Stood Still, which will be in theaters on Dec. 12.
