BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD: "DAY OF THE DARK KNIGHT"

Cartoon Network has released a description and additional images from "Day of the Dark Knight," the Friday, Jan. 2 episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The evil Morgan Le Fey has taken over Camelot and turned everyone to stone! To thwart her plans, Merlin transports Batman and Green Arrow back in time to retrieve Excalibur, defeat Etrigan, battle dragons and return King Arthur to the Throne! In the teaser, Guy Gardner teams up with Batman to stop a criminal riot at Green Lantern Corps."

David McCallum, who also plays Zeus in the Wonder Woman animated movie, provides the voice of Merlin. Dee Bradley Baker provides the voice of Etrigan.

The episode was written by J.M. DeMatteis and directed by Ben Jones.

ARCANA STUDIOS' PARADOX MOVIE

Arcana Studios has released details about Paradox, the first in a series of five movies produced with Legacy Filmworks and Bron Management.

Paradox, currently filming in British Columbia, is based on the comics series created by Christos Gage, who wrote the screenplay along with his wife, Ruth Fletcher Gage.

The film is being directed by Brenton Spencer, and the cast includes Kevin Sorbo, Steph Song, Christopher Judge, Alan C. Peterson, Alisen Down and Emilie Ullerup.

Here's how Arcana describes Paradox:

"Paradox introduces homicide detective Sean Nault, a cop on a parallel Earth who is investigating a baffling series of murders committed by a means his Earth has never seen before: the power of science. Sean uncovers an apocalyptic plot that will lead him to another dimension and the realization that, unless he prevents it, both earths could well be destroyed."

Sorbo, 50, stars as Nault. He is best known from the television series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Andromeda, both of which ran more than 100 episodes in syndication.

This past year, Sorbo was seen in an episode of ABC Family's The Middleman (shown right) and in the 300 spoof, Meet the Spartans.

Legacy Filmworks' Deboragh Gabler and Bron's Aaron L. Gilbert will produce the Arcana slate, with Arcana founder/publisher Sean O'Reilly serving as executive producer.

"Since Aaron joined forces with me at Arcana, we have concentrating on structuring partnerships with top producers like Deboragh Gabler." O'Reilly said. "We are excited to be working with her on our films, which will introduce and showcase the work of some incredible independent comic-book creators. We are also just thrilled to have these projects financed given the state of the current market."

Other projects on Aracana's film sale include: Chopper, a horror/thriller based on a Martin Shapiro comic going to camera end of January; and Sundown, a western/vampire thriller based on the comic by Jay Busbee, scheduled for April/May production. Future slate projects will be announced in the coming months.

KNIGHT RIDER NEW EPISODES

Knight Rider returns with new episodes on NBC beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

New episodes are expected to run through the completion of the show's first season at the end of February.

Following are descriptions of the next three episodes:

"KNIGHT FEVER" on Wednesday, Dec. 31

Mike (Justin Bruening) must stop the spread of a computer virus that threatens a total global meltdown. The job gets much harder when KITT (voiced by Val Kilmer) is infected. Meanwhile, Mike's jealousy begins to show when Sarah (Deanna Russo) reconnects with an old flame (guest-star Jeffrey Pierce), who may be the key to solving the latest mission.

"DON'T STOP THE KNIGHT" on Wednesday, Jan. 7

Mike and KITT are sent on an endless string of mini-missions by a crazy terrorist in exchange to keep Ambassador Olara Kumali (guest-star Vanessa Williams) alive, but they soon realize that they are part of a bigger plan. Trying to outsmart the terrorist, Rivai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier) and a team of FBI agents find themselves in an explosive situation. Meanwhile, Sarah and Dr. Graiman (Bruce Davison) try to fix a sick robot.

"DAY TURNS INTO KNIGHT" on Wednesday, Jan. 14

Mike and KITT are now transporting a bomb in the trunk of the car, but in order for it not to explode they must stay above 100 miles-per-hour. Trying to come up with a plan to disable the bomb, they load KITT onto the plane to buy some time and keep up their speed. Clinging to life, Rivai manages to give a clue to find where the terrorist is hiding. Meanwhile, Sarah receives some upsetting news about her dad.
