WATCHMEN: $25.1 MILLION OPENING DAY

Watchmen brought in $25.1 million in its opening day at the box office on Friday.

Opening in 3,611 theaters, the film posted the third-best opening day for an R-rated movie.

By comparison, 300 -- the previous film from Watchmen director Zack Snyder -- had a $28.1 million opening day. That film posted $70.9 in its opening weekend.

Watchmen has little competition this weekend. Madea Goes to Jail was second on Friday with $2.5 million.

FAMILY GUY: "NOT ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN"

Cast members of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be guest-starring in "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven," the Sunday, March 29 episode of Family Guy on Fox.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog Star Trek convention, but Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn't get a chance to ask his favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation cast members any questions. He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog."

Guest-stars from Star Trek: The Next Generation -- which ran from 1987 to 1994 -- include Brent Spiner, Denise Crosby, Gates McFadden, Jonathon Frakes, LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton and Patrick Stewart.

Stewart has been a frequent contributor to both Family Guy and American Dad.
