MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2009GREGORY NOVECK TALKS DC MOVIES![]() With the box-office and critical success of The Dark Knight the past year and the opening of another No. 1 movie, Watchmen, over the weekend, DC Comics has proven to be super-powered in the comics-to-film business.
Two more DC films -- Jonah Hex and Green Lantern -- now have announced release dates from Warner Bros., but what fans continue to salivate and speculate about is the future of DC's big three -- Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman -- in both solo movies and a Justice League film.
No one's more eager for those than Gregory Noveck, DC's senior vice president, creative affairs, who has been working to bring the company's characters to the big and small screens since 2003.
"Virtually all of these characters that you can think of are in one stage of development or another," Noveck told The Continuum during a recent interview at Wonder Con, where he was promoting the Wonder Woman animated movie. "Nothing is inactive. Nothing is dead."

MARVEL SUPER HERO SQUAD: ROBERT ENGLUND![]() Robert Englund is adding another bad guy to his resume. The Continuum has learned that he is providing the voice of Dormammu in Cartoon Network's upcoming Marvel Super Hero Squad animated series.
Englund -- best known as Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies -- will also be returning as Vulture for the second season of The Spectacular Spider-Man, which will air on Disney XD.
His previous animation credits include The Riddler on The Batman and Felix Faust in Justie League.
Look for more on Marvel Super Hero Squad soon here in The Continuum.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: "DAYBREAK"
Sci Fi has released 13 images from "Daybreak," the three-part episode of Battlestar Galactica that begins on Friday.
Here's how the network decribes the first part:
"A call for volunteers is made for a final mission, as Galactica is stripped for parts."

JOSH MEDORS COVERS THE DARKNESS![]() ![]() Top Cow Productions has unveiled the cover for The Darkness #76 by Josh Medors, on sale on March 25.
Medors has been fighting a rare form of cancer since last year.
"I had a great time working on this. Jackie has always been one of my favorite Top Cow characters, so to get a chance to work on a Darkness cover was amazing," Medors said. "I was a bit nervous going in to it, but the gang over at Top Cow was great. I think the finished piece turned out fantastic."
Top Cow also released the other cover for the issue, by Frazer Irving.
The story, by current series writer Phil Hester, picks up where issue #74 left off with current Darkness bearer Jackie Estacado in service to The Sovereign. The manipulative Sovereign is an ancient demon who can project his conscience into any object bearing his likeness. This issue will also introduce a new character who will change Jackie's perception of The Darkness forever.
Penciler Michael Broussard and inker Ryan Winn return as the art team with The Darkness #76.
