BOOM!, FOX ATOMIC TEAM FOR 28 DAYS LATER

Fox Atomic Comics and BOOM! Studios have announced that 28 Days Later will return to comic books and graphic novels beginning in July.

Initial launch story will be based in 28 Days Later film continuity, with the first arc focusing on Selena. Bridging the gap between 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, a few key questions will be answered, including what happened to Selena after 28 Days Later and how Selena happened upon the machete she wields.

The Fox Atomic Comics and BOOM! Studios collaboration will see titles serialized as individual single issue comic books before being collected into trade paperback graphic novels available in the direct and mass bookstore markets. 28 Days Later #1 is the first in the series for this new collaboration.

The Fox Atomic Comics/BOOM! Studios venture will see an expansion of Fox Atomic's previous titles. Specific details of the series are expected during the convention season.

WATCHMEN BOX OFFICE

Watchmen fell out of the top 10 at the box office, placing 13th over the weekend.

In its fifth weekend of release, Watchmen pulled in an estimated $1.1 million, pushing its total to $105.3 million.

Watchmen doesn't figure to top $110 million, but the film might get a re-release this summer with an expanded version.

Director Zack Snyder said that there also will be a DVD/Blu-ray version that will include the animated Tales of the Black Freighter.
