THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN: SEASON 2

Stan Lee returns to the world of Spider-Man animation with a guest-appearance in "Blueprints," the Season 2 premiere of The Spectacular Spider-Man.

In the episode, Lee voices a character named Stan, one of three shipping workers who fall prey to Mysterio.

Lee's character is designed to look like him.

"Blueprints" will premiere on Disney XD on Monday at 7 p.m.

Lee also provided voices in two previous Spider-Man series. He played himself in the series finale of Fox Kids' Spider-Man and played Frank Elson in MTV's Spider-Man series.

In addition to his cameos in Marvel's live-action films, Lee continues to work in animation with Marvel. Lee is also providing voices in two upcoming Marvel shows, as General Wallace in BET's Black Panther and as the Mayor of Super Hero City in Cartoon Network's Marvel Super Hero Squad.

CHRISTOPHER MINTZ-PLASSE TALKS KICK-ASS

He was on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on Thursday night to promote his new film Year One, but Christopher Mintz-Plasse spent more time talking Kick-Ass, the filmed adaptation of the comic book by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

Mintz-Plasse, who turns 20 on Saturday, talked about his character, the Red Mist.

"It's a bitchy, rich teenager who loves comic books, so he makes a costume and just goes out at night and tries to stop crime," Mintz-Plasse said.

Asked if he is a good or bad superhero, Mintz-Plasse said, "I don't want to ruin it for you guys."

Mintz said he enjoyed living on his own in London during the three-month shoot.

DAYS MISSING CREATORS, COVERS

Archaia and Roddenberry Productions have announced the creators and released the first covers from the five-issue Days Missing mini-series that will premiere at Comic-Con International in San Diego on July 23-26.

Phil Hester will write and Dale Keown will draw the mini-series, which will debut with a 99-cent #1 issue in August. Dale Keown is the cover artist.

A variant cover by Keown will be featured on the Comic-Con exclusive, which will be on sale for $5 ar the Archaia and Rodenberry booths.

Based on a concept by Roddenberry Productions executive Trevor Roth, Days Missing tells the stories of a mysterious being known only as "The Steward." His ability to literally fold days of time has allowed him to secretly remove critical days from our shared history that have forever changed the course of mankind -- or so he thinks.

Archaia and Roddenberry Productions are also bringing together four "all-star" creative teams to each work on a standalone, reader-friendly issue of Days Missing that ties into the overall mini-series storyarc.

"Building on the science fiction legacy of the Star Trek franchise, we are excited to make a unique contribution to the comic book landscape with this extraordinary series," Roth said. "We've assembled some of the best talent in the industry to deliver a great comic book that we hope will captivate fans."
