THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN: "DESTRUCTIVE TESTING"

Kraven the Hunter will make his first appearance in The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series in the "Destructive Testing" episode.

The episode will air on Disney XD on Monday at 7:30 p.m., following "Blueprints" as the network's two-part Season 2 premiere.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Peter wrestles with his feelings for both Gwen and Liz. In the meantime, Kraven the Hunter has arrived to make Spider-Man his prey."

The episode was written by Matt Wayne and directed by Kevin Altieri.

Kraven is voiced by Eric Vesbit, who brings a boastful quality of the character.

"In my head, Kravinoff's braggadocio sounds a lot like Bruno, the bear in that classic Looney Tunes cartoon, 'Big Top Bunny,'" Wayne told The Continuum. "The original version of Kraven isn't much different, boastful and mean. But even while Kraven's going on about his skill and superiority, he's learning a hard lesson about his own limits, which makes him a lot more human to me."

Kraven will also appear in Season 2's third episode, "Reinforcement," as part of the new Sinister Six.
