QUESTION AND ANSWER: ARCHIE COMICS' CEO JON GOLDWATER

Archie Comics is keeping it in the family. Jon Goldwater -- the son of Archie Comics founder John L. Goldwater -- has been appointed CEO of Archie Comics.

Goldwater began his career 20 years ago as the partner to the Japanese concert promoter, Zak Concerts. On Zak Concerts' behalf, Goldwater negotiated concert major tours of Japan include the Super Rock Festival and many others. He is the former President and CEO of AFA Music Group, Ltd., the executive producer of the film, Return of Superfly, He has served as President and CEO of Crash Management Inc.

Goldwater purchased an ownership interest in the company. In his first few days as CEO he has already started negotiations on projects that will be announced shortly, including an Archie feature film, a new Archie animated project, a Katy Keene television program and a music deal for the Archies.

Below is a quick question-and-answer with Goldwater.

Question: As a Goldwater and son of the founder of the company, why haven't we heard about you before?

Goldwater: I've been in the music business for the past 20 years.

Question: Richard Goldwater and Michael Silberkleit purchased the company and took it private after your father and Luis Silberkleit sold it publicly. Do you have an ownership interest in the company?

Goldwater: Yes.

Question: What changes will we see with Jon Goldwater as CEO?

Goldwater: Archie will move forward in areas that the Company has not explored previously. Digital comics, social networking, and a brand new web-site are all current projects.

Question: What will remain unchanged?

Goldwater: The integrity of the characters will never change.

Question: Will Archie Comics expand into other mediums, such as TV and Movies?

Goldwater: Look for announcements very soon.

Question: Will there be more new music from the Archies?

Goldwater: That is one of our priorities.

Question: What is your vision for the company?

Goldwater: To keep Archie current and vibrant in the United States while expanding and introducing Archie on a global level.

Question: What will it take to get there?

Goldwater: Our entire staff is dedicated to take Archie to levels previously unimagined. Our whole team is putting every bit of energy to achieve our goal.
