MORE NEWS ON THURSDAY

Check back throughout the day for additional coverage.

MARVEL'S THE SUPER HERO SQUAD SHOW

While Cartoon Network has yet to release a schedule of episodes for Marvel's upcoming The Super Hero Squad Show, The Continuum has obtained a rundown of featured characters in the early episodes.

What will likely be the first episode -- it's still unclear if broadcast order will reflect production order -- will feature Mole Man. The episode gives a nod to the birth of modern Marvel Universe in Fantastic Four #1, including a cover-inspired title card. Stan Lee speaks the show's first words as the Mayor, and the episode includes Storm.

Other episodes will feature:

* The Thing.

* Wasp, Gray Hulk, Klaw, Toad, Melter and Screaming Mimi.

* Hawkeye and the Wrecking Crew.

* Doctor Strange, Dormammu, Wasp, Thing, Human Torch, Sabretooth and Juggernaut.

* Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Misty Knight, Pyro, Zzzax and numerous cameos, including Whirlwind, Mr. Fantastic and Colossus.

Cartoon Network will launch Super Hero Squad with a four-episode marathon on Saturday, Sept. 19.

MICHAEL USLAN TALKS "ARCHIE MARRIES VERONICA"

Michael Uslan -- producer of The Spirit movie and executive producer on the Batman films -- is writing the six-part event and promises the usual Archie fun -- and a little more.

"We also deal with some real serious issues of relationships," said Uslan, who also noted the story will explore the future of all of the Archie mainstay characters.
