BRIEFLY

* Image Comics has announced that Chew #1-3 will reprinted in time for next month's release of #4, with #1 reprinted for a fourth time.

"I continued to be stunned and staggered by response to this book, and I don't understand it one bit.," said John Layman, Chew's writer and co-creator. "Chew is about a cannibal cop, set post bird flu alternative reality. Nobody should want to read it, and, yet, it continues to sell out. Iım told we're now three times as successful as The Walking Dead's initial launch and, even better, the fans and retailers I've heard from are excited for more."

Image did not release print run totals for the issues.

* G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra placed third at the box office on Friday with $7.1 million, pushing its total to $83.3 million.
