THE DARK KNIGHT MOTORCYCLE SUIT

UD Replicas -- the officially licensed division of Universal Designs Ltd. -- has begun production on a replica Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit, based on the 2008 blockbuster.

Produced under license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Comics, the Universal Designs' Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit comprises a full-leather jacket that includes lightweight interior lining, as well as molded-leather and Kevlar armor sections; pants that include heavy-duty, four-way stretch Spandex inserts and CE-approved armor; authentic gloves and boots that replicate the on-screen design.

Each Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit can be customized to fit sizes ranging from XXS to XXL. Orders can be placed exclusively at www.udreplicas.com, and each Dark Knight Motorcycle Suit retails for $998.

A maximum of 1,000 Dark Knight Motorcycle Suits will be created.

"No film of the 21st century has been as visually stunning as The Dark Knight, and we're proud to be working directly with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to ensure accuracy and authenticity in every custom-made Motorcycle Suit," said David Pea, owner of Universal Designs. "The Dark Knight is one of the highest-grossing movies all time, and continues to spark the imagination of fans everywhere."

ROOPSTER ROUX. STEVE HARVEY AT BLUEWATER PRODUCTIONS

Bluewater Productions has announced it is adapting the children's book and tape series Roopster Roux into an original graphic novel.

Roopster Roux was created by Lavaille Lavette, with comedian Steve Harvey serving as the face and narrator of the series.

Here's Bluewater describes Roopster Roux.

"The series chronicles the adventures of a sports-loving rooster who enjoys reading and whose heroic deeds are due in large part to the knowledge Roopster gains through various books. Aided by his super-charged skateboard, Roopster delivers positive educational messages while keeping readers entertained with action-packed adventures."

Harvey will be the on-page narrator for the comic adaptation, which is scheduled for next year. The graphic novel will be written by Ryan Burton and drawn by Erik Thompson.

"I really like Roopster Roux," Harvey said. "The series is fast-paced. Roopster is a hero to kids and a lot of adults as well. Readers from all walks of life identify with Roopster Roux."

"This is a wonderful opportunity to present quality storytelling in a comic format to a younger audience," said Bluewater president Darren Davis. │If it gets just one more kid to start reading, then it╣ll be a great success. I was one of those kids and comics helped me to become a better, more engaged, reader.▓
