SMALLVILLE: "KANDOR"

The CW has released a gallery of images from "Kandor," the Friday, Nov. 6 episode of Smallville.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Jor-El (guest star Julian Sands) mysteriously arrives at the Kent farm searching for his son, Kal-El, but meets Chloe (Allison Mack) instead.  Convinced the Blur is Jor-El, Zod (Callum Blue) enlists Tessı (Cassidy Freeman) help in finding him to force him to reveal the secret to his powers.  Clark (Tom Welling) realizes Jor-El is alive and on Earth and races to find him before Zod does."

"Kandor" was written by Turi Meyer and Al Septien and was directed by Jeannot Szwarc.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD: "INSIDE THE OUTSIDERS"

The next new episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Cartoon Network will be "Inside the Outsiders" on Friday, Nov. 6.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Batman and the Outsiders are under a metaphysical attack by Psycho Pirate. Batman enters the Mindscape and helps Black Lightning, Katana and Metamorpho battle their own personal demons."

"Inside the Outsiders" was written by Alex Van Dyne and directed by Brandon Vietti.

The guest cast includes Nika Futterman as Catwoman, Kim Mai Guest as Katana, Scott Menville at Metamorpho, Paul Nakauchi as Takeo Takahiro, Bumper Robinson as Black Lightning, Armin Shimerman as Psycho Pirate and James Arnold Taylor as Green Arrow.

FANTAGRAPHICS TEAMS WITH GREG SADOWSKI ON COLLECTIONS

Fantagraphics Books has announced a deal with comics historian and editor Greg Sadowski to produce seven new collections of classic comic book material.

The books will be released one per season, beginning with Four Color Fear: Forgotten Horror Comics of the 1950s in June and produced in collaboration with comics historian John Benson. The second book, due in fall 2010, will be a collection of artist Alex Tothıs work for Standard Comics in the 1950s.

The remaining five books will be release in subsequent seasons, with exact schedules to be announced.

Sadowski has previously overseen the publication of the collections Supermen: The First Wave of Comic Book Heroes 1936-1941, as well as B. Krigstein and B. Krigstein Comics. He is a former staff editor and designer for Fantagraphics Books.

* Marvel Comics has unveiled Brandon Peterson's variant cover to Dark Tower: The Battle of Jericho Hill #1.

* Radical Publishing has announced that the first printing of FVZA: Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency #1, from writer David Hine and illustrator Roy Allan Martinez, has sold out at the distributor level prior to its release in the direct market. According to the publisher, it has not determined if there will be a second printing.
