ANTHONY HOPKINS CAST IN THOR

Anthony Hopkins has been cast as Odin in Marvel Studios' Thor movie, sources have confirmed for The Continuum.

Hopkins joins a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddelston as Loki and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.

Production is expected to begin in January under the direction of Kenneth Branagh.

The film is slated for a May 20, 2011 release.

THE SUPER HERO SQUAD SHOW: "DEADLY IS THE BLACK WIDOW'S BITE!"

Marvel has released eight images and a description from "Deadly is the Black Widow's Bite!," the new episode of The Super Hero Squad Show scheduled to air on Cartoon Network on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Here's how Marvel describes the episode:

"With the Lethal Legion lying in wait, will Black Widow be the hero that saves the day -- or dooms our heroes? The most action-packed family friendly show in the universe continues to 'Hero Up' with another sensational new episode, guest-starring Songbird, Nick Fury, Mystique, Screaming Mimi and more of your favorites!"

Lena Headey, from 300 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, provides the voice of Black Widow.
