MANDALAY PICTURES OPTIONS UNTHINKABLE

BOOM! Studios has announced that Mandalay Pictures has optioned the film rights to action-thriller series Unthinkable.

"Our partners at Mandalay are the best in the business," said BOOM! Studios CEO Ross Richie. "Cathy Schulman won the Oscar for Crash and Peter Guber's a legend in the business. We couldnšt be happier!"

Unthinkable was created and written by Mark Sable, with art by Julian Totino Tedesco. The five-issue series -- to be collected in trade paperback soon -- centers around best-selling author Alan Ripley, recruited just after 9/11 to join a government think tank of America's most imaginative minds to think of nightmare scenarios and crippling terrorist attacks on U.S soil. Years after the think tank is disbanded, attacks Ripley envisioned begin to happen and only he can stop whoever is behind the destruction.

Other BOOM! titles that have been optioned include, Talent, Tan and 2 Guns by Universal, North Wind by Davis Entertainment and Station by CBS Films.

STAR WARS: "LEGACY OF TERROR"

Lucasfilm has released a vide preview from "Legacy of Terror," Friday's new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network.

To view the video, CLICK HERE.

Here's how the episode is described:

"In pursuit of Poggle the Lesser, Jedi Master Luminara Unduli descends deep into the catacombs of Geonosis, where she uncovers an even greater threat to the galaxy.

"When Luminara disappears while tracking the Geonosian warlord, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker lead a platoon of clone troopers in search of her. Following her trail, the heroes descend deep into the lair of the grotesque Geonosian queen -- Karina the Great -- where they discover that the hive is alive and teeming with undead defenders."

Though the episode finds Luminara confronted by agents of evil deep within the darkest bowels of Karina's underground nest, actress Olivia d'Abo saw her character's strength reflected by the grave nature of the circumstances.

"Luminara is a Jedi, so she's always going to have that ability to focus and remain calm," d'Abo said. "I'm thrilled to be playing a role that requires such wisdom and strength; it is really empowering."

Though perhaps best known for her role as Kevin Arnold's older sister in TV's The Wonder Years, d'Abo boasts a career that has included such genre properties as Conan the Destroyer, Green Lantern: First Flight and Ultimate Avengers.

"I love science-fiction, the fantasy genre, and comic books," she said. "They tend to stand the test of time because of their marvelous content; these kinds of projects will always capture people's attention by providing far-away settings we'd like to escape to. I've been really lucky with all my roles and projects because I have an innate understanding of what they require. I just jump in and make them my own."

DOLLHOUSE: "THE LEFT HAND"

Fox has released new images and a decription from "The Left Hand," the two-part, two-hour episode of Dollhouse scheduled for Friday, Dec. 4.

Here's how Fox describes the episode:

"Echo is sent to stop Senator Daniel Perrin (guest-star Alexis Denisof) before he can expose the Dollhousešs secrets, and Adelle and Topher travel to the Washington, D.C. Dollhouse to meet its genius programmer, Bennett Halverson (guest-star Summer Glau), a woman with a mysterious past connection to Echo. In the second hour, Echo and Bennett have a shocking meeting as Adelle goes head-to-head with the ruthless head of the Washington, D.C. Dollhouse (guest-star Ray Wise).

"Meanwhile, Topher sees double when he involves Victor in his espionage, and Perrin finds a surprising witness to testify against the Rossum Corporation."
