IDW TO PUBLISH DESPERADO TITLES

IDW Publishing and Desperado have announced a publishing agreement, which will bring Desperado's roster of creators and catalog of books to IDW under a new imprint.

IDW's new imprint will continue the line-up of titles from Desperado, founded by Joe Pruett in January 2005. Creators in 2010 will include Dave Dorman, Tony Harris and George Perez.

"We are very excited to have Desperado join us," said IDW chief operating officer, Greg Goldstein. "Desperado's books and roster of creators are both very impressive, and as an IDW imprint, Joe will have the flexibility and support to expand both. It's really a win-win situation."

"I was sold from the first conversation," said Pruett. "If there was one company that I would admit to being envious of, it would be IDW. Watching them transform from a start-up company to the present-day publishing beast has been nothing if not inspiring. Everything about IDW speaks to how much they love this industry and love what they are doing. We at Desperado look forward to a long, prosperous relationship. As the famous quote goes, 'I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.'"

Here's how Fox describes the episode:

"Fed up with Bart's constant pranks, Principal Skinner tells Bart that there is a former Springfield Elementary student hailed as the best prankster ever even better than Bart but he won't divulge the legendary student's name. Bart finally gets Ground skeeper Willie to reveal the pranksteršs identity: Andy Hamilton (voiced by Hill). Bart tracks down Andy, who is now 19 year sold and hasn't grown out of his pranking days. Bart and Andy become fast friends until Bart gets Andy a job working for the ultimate clown."
