DC COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: THE AUTHORITY: LOST YEAR #4

The Authority: The Lost Year #4 will arrive in stores on Dec. 16 from DC Comics. The issue is written by Keith Giffen and Grant Morrison, with art by Darick Robertson and Trevor Scott and a cover by Gene Ha.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"This series fills in the gap to explain where The Authority was just before 'World's End,' how they escaped from a horrifying alternate reality...and at what cost. In this kick-off arc, The Authority find themselves stuck on an alternate reality Earth in which they're nothing more than comic book characters. It's a dying reality and neither they nor the Carrier can exist inside of it! They have to get away as soon as possible, but can they before the Carrier expires? "

The Authority: The Lost Year #4 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

FIRST LOOK: WORLD OF WARCRAFT SPECIAL #1

World of Warcraft Special #1 will arrive in stores on Dec. 16 from DC Comics. The issue is written by Mike Costa, with art by Pop Mhan and a cover by Jon Buran.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Kicking off a bold new direction for World of Warcraft comics! Algalon will be the judge! This special issue of World of Warcraft introduces new Horde and Alliance characters not yet seen in the ongoing series. Discover, through the eyes of The Observer himself, if the inhabitants of Azeroth are worthy of survival -- or will they inevitably meet certain doom?"

World of Warcraft Special #1 will be 40 pages and will cost $3.99.

FIRST LOOK: FABLES #91

Fables #91 will arrive in stores on Dec. 16 from DC Comics. The issue is written by Bill Willingham, with art by Mark Buckingham and Steve Leialoha an a cover by Joao Ruas.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Hell hath no fury like Geppetto scorned, and he's about to prove that to the Fables community! The puppet master has a hunch concerning the source of true power in the forest, and it's not who you'd expect. After a long talk with the mysterious Grandfather Oak, Gepetto has an offer for the Fables ­ and it may be one they can't refuse."
