DARK HORSE COMICS FIRST LOOKS

FIRST LOOK: B.P.R.D.: KING OF FEAR #1

B.P.R.D.: King of Fear #1 will arrive in stores on Jan. 6 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is written by Mike Mignola and John Arcudi, with art by Guy Davis and a cover by Mignola.

Here's how Dark Horse describes the issue:

"After the defeat of the mystic Memnan Saa, the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense -- on the outs with the United States government after the bloodstained rescue of Liz Sherman -- embarks to the Ural Mountains, the site of B.P.R.D.: Hollow Earth , to put the frog menace to rest once and for all.

"Meanwhile, Kate Corrigan heads to Hunte Castle in Austria, where Hellboy killed the Conqueror Worm, on her own rescue mission -- to save ectoplasmic special agent Johann Kraus, possessed by the ghost of Lobster Johnson."

FIRST LOOK: CONAN THE CIMMERIAN #17

Conan the Cimmerian #17 will arrive in stores on Jan. 6 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is written by Timothy Truman, with art by Truman and Tomas Giorello and a cover by Joseph Michael Linsner.

Here's how Dark Horse describes the issue:

"In part two of the three-issue Free Companions arc, Conan rebels against Princess Yasmela, his former lover, and seeks to infiltrate the dungeons of Koth with a small band of handpicked mercenaries. Taking place right after Robert E. Mass Effect: Redemption #1 will arrive in stores on Jan. 6 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is written by Mac Walters and John Jackson Miller, with art by Omar Francia and a cover by Daryl Mandryk.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars #12 will arrive in stores on Jan. 6 from Dark Horse Comics. The issue is written by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, with art by Brian Koschak and a cover by Michael E. Wiggam and Scott Hepburn.

Here's how Dark Horse describes the issue:
