ALAN BURNETT TALKS DC SHOWCASE ANIMATED SHORTS

During The Continuum's recent visit to Warner Bros. Animation, Kate Jewell sat down with supervising producer Alan Burnett.

In the first part of the interview, Burnett talks about the DC Showcase animated shorts program -- why and how the program started, specifics about The Spectre and Jonah Hex shorts and a reveal of the third character to be featured.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS

Warner Home Video has released another clip from Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

This clip is a 50-second fight sequence between the Justice League and Crime Syndicate, that takes place just before the first clip released from the film.

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD: "THE SUPER-BATMAN OF PLANET X!"

Warner Bros. Animation has released three clips and 31 images from "The Super-Batman of Planet X!," Friday's new episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Cartoon Network.

Here's how the studio describes the episode:

"Batman lands on this distant planet Zurr En Arrh and finds a doppleganger Batman, but more surprisingly, on this planet the Caped Crusader has super powers! Together they battle the mad genius Rhotul, who soon learns Batman's super weakness."

The guest cast includes Kevin Conroy as Batman 2, Clancy Brown at Rohtul, Dana Delany as Vilsi, James Arnold Taylor as Green Arrow/Alpha-Red, Corey Burton as Dog Magnus/Mercury/Zor-Gonn, Marc Worden as Kanjar Ro and Hynden Walch as Platina.

SMALLVILLE ROUNDUP

According to The CW, the two-hour "Absolute Justice" episode of Smallville provided the network its best Friday night night performance since September 2008 in all key categories, including adults 18-49 (1.2/4), men 18-49 (1.5/5), adults 18-34 (1.1/4), men 18-34 (1.3/5) and total viewers (2.8 mil).

The episode was Smallville's highest rated telecast of the season in total viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and men 18-49.

Smallville built in the second hour by 10 percent in adults 18-34, 17 percent in men 18-34, 18 percent in adults 18-49, 14 percent in men 18-49 and 14 percent in total viewers.

In other Smallville news, the "Conspiracy" episode on Friday, Feb. 26 will be followed by a repeat of "Crossfire."
