Bluewater Productions has provided The Continuum a look at the uncolored artwork for Political Power: Al Franken, a bio-comic scheduled for released in May.

The book will chronicle Franken's rise from Saturday Night Live writer, a position he often used to skewer politicians, to radio talk show host to Senator from Minnesota.

"Al Franken has this reputation - not completely unfounded, if you read the comic - as a metaphorical bomb-thrower, a guy who hates his enemies and has an in-your-face style," said Jerome Maida, the comic book's writer. "While I did find some stuff that would support that perception, I also found out a lot more interesting stuff that makes him a real person, a character instead of a caricature."

The Franken book follows Bluewater Political Power titles featuring Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy.

"At a time in which comic book readership continues to decline, our Political Power books continue to bring new readers to the graphic medium," said Darren G. Davis, president of Bluewater Productions. "I'm proud of that. And I think our readers will find that Jerome has crafted a compelling tale in Political Power: Al Franken."

Warner Bros. has released the new poster from The Losers, the film based on the DC Comics property due in theaters on Friday, April 23.

Here's how the film is described:

"An explosive action tale of betrayal and revenge, The Losers centers around the members of an elite Special Forces unit sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. But the team -- Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar -- soon find that they have become the target of a deadly double cross, instigated from the inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max.

"Making good use of the fact that they are now presumed dead, the group goes deeply undercover in a dangerous plot to clear their names and even the score with Max. They are joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda, who is more than capable of scoring a few points of her own. Working together, when they're not arguing amongst themselves, they have to stay one step ahead of the globetrotting Max -- a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war for his own benefit. If they can take down Max and save the world at the same time, it'll be a win win for the team now known as The Losers."

The Losers stars Jeffery Dean Morgan as Clay, Zoe Saldana as Aisha, Chris Evans as Jensen; Idris Elba as Roque; Columbus Short as Pooch; Oscar Jaeneda as Cougar; and Jason Patric as Max.

Sylvain White directed the film from a screenplay by Peter Berg and James Vanderbilt.
