ASPEN COMICS' PETER STEIGERWALD

ERIC ROBERTS IN SYFY MOVIE
Eric Roberts, whose recent credits include The Dark Knight, will star in Sharktopus, a new original movie produced by Roger Corman for Syfy later this year.
Here's how Syfy describes the film:
"Sharktopus is about a research scientist (Roberts) and his talented daughter who develop a secret military weapon -- a hybrid shark/octopus that can be controlled by electrical implants. But when the controls break down, the monster goes on a killing rampage at the resort beaches of Mexico."
Sharktopus is produced by Roger Corman and Julie Corman, and directed by Declan O'Brien, whose credits include Wrong Turn 3, Cyclops, Monster Ark and Rock Monster.
MARVEL COMICS ROUNDUP
Marvel Comics has released another teaser for its Avengers Academy series, by Christos Gage and Mike McKone.
This one features Fortress.
The series launches in June.
