WONDERCON: DC NATION

DC Entertainment's recently appointed big three -- co-publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee and chief creative officer Geoff Johns -- took over the DC Nation panel at WonderCon on Friday.

The announcement of the panel took place at the end: Lee said he and Frank Miller are transitioning All Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder into a new six-issue series, Dark Knight: Boy Wonder, that will ship monthly beginning in February.

Lee noted that the All Star story and upcoming one both fit into the world created by Miller initially in The Dark Knight Returns in 1986.

WONDER CON: DARK HORSE COMICS

Predators, Star Wars, Joss Whedon properties and more were discussed at Dark Horse Comics' panel at WonderCon on Friday.

Panelists included editor Randy Stradley and director of public relations Jeremy Atkins.

WONDERCON: GEOFF JOHNS

Geoff Johns, newly appointed Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment, held court at his own panel at WonderCon on Friday, talking about his comics and tap-dancing around movie information and the Blackest Night finale.

Johns made an opening statment, noting he remains committed to writing comics in his new position and providing some insight into the Green Lantern movie.

WONDERCON: IDW PUBLISHING

At its panel at WonderCon on Friday, IDW Publishing announced a True Blood comic book -- based on the HBO television series -- that will launch in July.

The comic features story by the HBO series creator Alan Ball. it will written by David Tischman and Mariah Huehner, with art by Messina and covers by Messina, Joe Corroney, J. Scott Campbell and Andrew Currie.

IDW's panel was themed big and better, but the panel was actually leaner and meaner, with a few scheduled panelists unable to attend because their flights were fogged in in San Diego.

KICK-ASS CLIPS

Lionsgate has released two more clips from the Kick-Ass movie.

The first clip is of Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy, taking down a series of thugs in a warehouse.
