Warner Home Video has announced a July 27 release for Batman: Under the Red Hood, the latest in the series of DC Universe animated movies.

To view the film's trailer, CLICK HERE.

And for a video interview with director Brandon Vietti, CLICK HERE.

The PG-13 movie will be distributed by Warner Home Video as a Special Edition version on Blu-Ray and 2 disc DVD for $29.99 and $24.98, respectively, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP). The film will also be available On Demand and for download.

in the film, Batman confronts new enemies, old foes and painful memories when a powerful vigilante with a penchant for violence comes to Gotham City.

The cast includes Bruce Greenwood as Batman, Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing, John DIMaggio as the Joker and Jason Isaacs as Ra's Al Ghul

Batman: Under the Red Hood is scripted by Judd Winick, based on his 2005 comics storyline and subsequent comics graphic novel of the same name. Bruce Timm returns as executive producer, as he has for all eight DC Universe animated original movies. Director is Brandon Vietti, who served as co-director of Superman Doomsday and was responsible for the first one-third of that film, including the fatal battle between the two title characters.

Here's how the film is described:

"In Batman: Under the Red Hood, Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened."

Jonah Hex will be featured in the DC Showcase short. The story is written by Joe Lansadale, and features the voices of Thomas Jane, Linda Hamilton, Michelle Trachtenberg and MIchael Rooker.

The special edition will include more than two hours of features, including "Robin's Story," a featurette, a preview of the next DC animated movie two Batman animated episodes selected by Timm.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS SEASON FINALE

Lucasfilm has released a video preview from Friday's one-hour season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

To view the clip, CLICK HERE.

Here's how Lucasfilm describes the finale:

"The beleaguered Jedi Knights have struggled against space pirates, zombie bugs, mind-controlling brain worms, giant monsters and more, all while dealing with the ever-present threat of attack by the evil Separatist forces -- but despite all they've been through, their greatest threat is still before them. For future generations of Skywalker, the name of Boba Fett will live in infamy -- but now, he is still but a boy bent on revenge, driven by a desire to make the Jedi pay for the death of his father. Things get personal.

"But though his motivations are cold and his plan calculated to perfection, Boba isn't alone in his malicious machinations against the Jedi Order. Having surrounded himself with a rogue's gallery of the galaxy's most merciless mercenaries, he is but a pawn in a deadlier game -- and his own cohorts have no compunctions with taking advantage of the young man's naivete. Led down the dark path by Aurra Sing, Boba will learn a thing of two about deception and deceit from his bounty hunter henchmen."

Aurra takes Boba under her wing and presents herself as a mother figure," said Jaime King, who voices Sing in the series. "I believe that she would like to groom him to be ruthless bounty hunter. She is intense, and she will do anything to get money -- any job, any task -- and she has no consciousness, really, about the difference between right and wrong; Aurra just wants money and power, no matter what. She won't let anything stand in her way. I think she sees herself in young Boba -- but while Jango had his son's best interest in mind, Aurra doesn't."
