IRON MAN 2 BOX OFFICE

Iron Man 2 scored the fifth-biggest three-day opening ever, topping the box office in its first weekend with an estimated $133.6 million.

The sequel, which opened in 4,380 theaters, easily outperformed the first Iron Man film, which brought in $98.6 million in its opening weekend.

Iron Man 2's estimates included $53.5 million on Friday, $46.5 million on Saturday and $34.8 million on Sunday.

Inernationally, Iron Man 2 took in $57.2 million to combine wiht previous overseas earnings and its domestic debut for a worldwide total of $327.6 million.

* Rupert Murdoch, the charman and CEO of News Corporation, the parent company of Fox, is guest-voice as himself in "Judge Me Tender," the season finale of The Simpsons on Sunday, May 23.

Fox has released an image of Murdoch visiting Moe's. In the episode, Moe becomes a judge on American Idol.
