IRON MAN: ARMORED ADVENTURES RETURNS TO NICKTOONS

Nicktoons as announced it is picking up the second season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

The new season of 26 episodes is targeted to begin in 2011. It will include such characters as Nick Fury, Whiplash, Dr. Doom and Magneto, and will feature the resolution of the Makluan Ring saga.

"From the mega-successful feature films to the timeless comic books, fans can't get enough of the Iron Man character," said Keith Dawkins, Nicktoons general manager, senior vice president, Nickelodeon Programming Partnerships. "We hear our fans clamoring for more Iron Man: Armored Adventures, so we're thrilled to bring on a second season to give them what they want."

"We are very happy to have Nicktoons continue as the home for Iron Man: Armored Adventures," said Eric S. Rollman, Marvel's president of animation. "The Nicktoons team are all Marvel aficionados which is reflected in the promotion and marketing they put behind the show. The new season is well into production and promises even more action, adventure and fun to our new and loyal fans."

* Dynamite Entertainment and Liquid Comics have announced a publishing partnership to release an omnibus graphic novel collecting the 10 issues of Gamekeeper, a comic-book series created by filmmaker, Guy Ritchie.

Gamekeeper was originally released in 2007 by Virgin Comics and is now in development as a feature film with Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver.

"I'm interested in the visual sensibility of comic book storytelling, so creating a comic was an obvious and exciting prospect," Ritchie said. "The moment I saw the pages, I had a cinematic vision for what I know will make a great film."

Gamekeeper comics were written by Andy Diggle and Jeff Parker, with art by Mukesh Singh, Ron Randall and Ron Chan
