MARVEL ANIMATION ROUNDUP
Iron Man veterans Bob Layton and David Michelinie writing an episode of Nicktoons' Iron Man: Armored Adventures for Season 2.
Layton and Michelinie are writing an episode called "Hammer Cracks S.H.I.E.L.D.," which is slated for the middle of the second season.
In other Marvel animation news:
* Frank Paur is the supervising director of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes series that will air on Disney XD.
* Although not appearing in the first promotional image, Black Panther will appear early in the show. The character was featured in the video that Marvel showed at C2E2 in Chicago.
* Nick Fury will also appear in the show.
* "Every single episode is packed with action and high stakes," said Marvel Animation's Josh Fine of Avengers.
* Season 2 of The Super Hero Squad picks up on elements from the Season 1 finale, with Doctor Doom incarcerated, the Silver Surfer departed and the team breaking up.
Thanos and Captain Marvel appear in the season opener.
