TRON: LEGACY JUNKET: BEAU GARRETT

The Continuum today kicks off a series of reports and video interview excepts from the Tron: Legacy junket with Beau Garrett, who plays the Siren named Gem.

Garrett, whose credits include Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, talks about working with director Joe Kosinski, how the character's costume influenced her performance and more.

KATY PERRY TALKS THE SIMPSONS

Katy Perry guest-stars in a live-action segment for "The Fight Before Christmas," Sunday's new episode of The Simpsons.

Fox has released a video of Perry talking about the episode, including her relationship with Moe and what it means to be on The Simpsons.

RICHIE RICH LAUNCH, CREATORS

Ape Entertaiment has announced a May launch for Richie Rich, as well as a roster of creators.

The title, produced in conjunction with Classie Media, will be Ape's offering for Free Comic Book Day.

"Ape Entertainment is extremely pleased with the writers and artists who have come forward to bring Richie Rich back to comics," said founder and co-publisher David Hedgecock. "We have action. We have adventure. We have humor. And best of all, we have everyones favorite characters, from Cadbury to Irona to Dollar."

Writers will include Tom DeFalco, Bill Williams, Buddy Scalera, Brent E. Erwin, Jason M. Burns, Matt Anderson and Rob Worley.

Artists will include Tina Francisco, Jack Lawrence, Armando Zanker, James Silvani and Iwan Nazif.

Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon, who worked on the original Harvey Comics series, are returning with two new stories.

BRIEFLY

* Image Comics has announced a second printing for the sold-out 27 #1.

The second printing will be in stores on Jan. 5, the same day as 27 #2.

* Victor Webster, whose credits include Mutant X and Surrogates, is starring as Mathayus in The Scorpion King 3, now shooting in Thailand. The movie will be released on DVD in early 2012.

Picking up where The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior left off, The Scorpion King 3 continues the story of Mathayus, now the deposed leader of an ancient desert empire, as he faces the most terrifying challenge of his life.

The cast also includes Ron Perlman as Horus, Billy Zane as King Talus, Kimbo Slic as Zulu Kondo, Bostin Christopher as Olaf, Dave Bautista as Agromael, Selina Lo as Tsukai, Krystal Vee as Sllda and Temuera Morrison as King Ramusan.

The film is being directed by Roel Reine.
