WONDERCON: DARK HORSE COMICS

SAN FRANCISCO -- Dark Horse Comics announced its new Buffy and Angel titles at its panel at WonderCon on Friday.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 will premiere in September. Joss Whedon will write the first issue and will then be joined by Andrew Chambliss.

Georges Jeanty, the artist of Season 8, returns in Season 9.

Both Spike and Willow will appear in the story.

Angel & Faith will launch in August, written by Christos Gage, with art by Rebekah Isaacs.

Plans are for both Buffy and Angel & Faith to be 25-issue stories.

A five-issue Dollhouse mini-series will launch in July, continuing to spin out of the "Epitaphs" episode of the TV series. It will be written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.

Phil Noto does covers, and Fiona Staples will provide a variant for the first issue.
