MARVEL COMICS FIRST LOOKS

For covers and four- to six-page previews of 16 Marvel Comics titles arriving in stores on April 20, CLICK HERE.

CHRISTOS GAGE TALKS AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Christos Gage will step in to writing Amazing Spider-Man #661, an issue in which Spider-Man trains Avengers Academy.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Class is in session as Spider-Man heads to Avengers Academy to take the next generation of Earth's Mightiest out for an exercise that'll quickly go from pass/fail to live/die when the Psycho-Man crashes the lecture. And that's not all because when Giant Man finds himself face to face with the giant Monsteroso, the FF makes a mighty Marvel guest appearance!"

The art is by Reilly Brown. Paul Benjamin and Javier Pulido provide a "Day in the Life of Spider-Man" back-up story.

GREEN LANTERN: RISE OF THE MANHUNTERS GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new gameplay trailer for Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, scheduled for a June 7 release.

COWBOYS & ALIENS NEW TRAILER

Universal Pictures has released a second trailer for Cowboys & Aliens.

SMALLVILLE: "KENT" PREVIEW

The CW has released a preview of Friday's new episode of Smallville, "Kent," with executive producer Brian Peterson.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Clark (Tom Welling) is shocked to find a mirror box in the barn. Clark Luthor surprises him and sends Clark Kent back to the alternate reality where Clark runs into a very angry Jonathan Kent (John Schneider). Meanwhile, back in our reality, Clark Luthor visits Tess (Cassidy Freeman) and tells if she doesn't side with him he'll kill her. Lois (Erica Durance) asks Emil (guest star Allesandro Juliani) to help her bring Clark back."

* Syfy has announced that Alphas will premiere on Monday, July 11 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Here's how the network describes the show:

"Alphas follows a team of ordinary citizens with extraordinary mental and physical abilities. Taking the law into their own hands, the unlikely team, led by Dr. Leigh Rosen (David Strathairn) investigates cases that suggest other Alpha activity to uncover what the CIA, FBI and Pentagon have not been able, or willing, to solve. These gifted individuals must balance their quirky personalities and disparate backgrounds with their not always visible powers as they work to solve crimes, stop the ticking time bomb and catch the enemy."

Alphas also stars Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Laura Mennell, Ryan Cartwright and Azita Ghanizada, and is a production of Universal Cable Productions and BermanBraun Television. Executive producers are Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun and Gene Stein for BermanBraun, Zak Penn and Ira Steven Behr.
