WARNER BROS. 2012 PREVIEW: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

As part of its 2012 preview, Warner Bros. has released five stills from The Dark Knight Rises, in theaters on July 20.
While the studio provided detailed, full-paragraph descriptions of its 18 other movies, the description of The Dark Knight Rises simply said: "The epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy."
Nolan returns as director and wrote the screenplay for The Dark Knight Rises with his brother Jonathan Nolan. The film's story was developed by Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer.
The Dark Knight Rises is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven. Executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull.
The cast features Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.

REPORT: ALAN TAYLOR TO DIRECT THOR 2
Alan Taylor, a veteran television director, has been tapped by Marvel Studios as director of Thor 2, according to Deadline.
Marvel Studios did not immediately reply to requests for confirmation of the report.
Taylor replaces Patty Jenkins, who left the movie over reported creative differences. His television credits include Game of Thrones, Bored to Death, The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie and Boardwalk Empire.
Thor 2 is scheduled for a Nov. 15, 2013 release. Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor.
