FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 2012NEW YOUNG JUSTICE ON CARTOON NETWORK
In what might be the start of DC Nation, Cartoon Network has scheduled a new episode of Young Justice, "Misplaced," to premiere on Saturday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT).
The episode will follow a repeat of the first-half hour of the one-hour premiere of Green Lantern: The Animated Series at 10 a.m.
Repeats of the Green Lantern and Young Justice will also air on Sunday, March 4 beginning at 10 a.m.
Although not formally announced by Cartoon Network, the one-hour block seems to signal the beginning of the DC Nation programming initative.
Here's how Cartoon Network describes the "Misplaced" epsiode of Young Justice:
"When every adult on the planet disappears, only the team, Zatanna and Billy Batson are left to defeat the five most powerful sorcerers on Earth."

DC COMICS NEWS ROUNDUP
DC Comics has announced a Sept. 18 release for The Judas Coin, a 94-page hardcover graphic novel written and illustrated byWalter Simonson.
DC unveiled the cover for the book, which will feature characters from across the DC Universe.
"The cover for The Judas Coin was designed and drawn with inspiration provided in part by movie posters from the '60s and '70s," Simonson said. "In particular, I was thinking of the posters of Bob Peak, who did such beautiful work back then with montage. Peak was a master at creating a strong central image and surrounding it with smaller, often fairly loose images derived from various scenes in the movie.
"I make no claims to Peak's draftsmanship, but for a work like The Judas Coin, comprised as it is of six separate but related stories, I wanted a cover that would provide both a strong visual image at its core, and a series of small drawings that would reflect the structure of the book's interior. Batman and Two-Face, eternal enemies, provided a good focal point. The vignettes around them echo the individual stories within the book."
