MARVEL PRESS CONFERENCE: AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

Marvel Comics staged a press conference call on Wednesday for Avengers Assemble, the new series premiering in April. On the call were writer Brian Michael Bendis, artist Mark Bagley and editor Tom Brevoort.

Marvel has released a clip from "The Island of Fire," the episode of the Blade Anime series premiering on G4 on Friday at 11 p.m. (ET).

* Aspen Comics has announced it is going back to press in march on the sold-out Lady Mechanika #0, #1 and #2.
The new printings will feature redesigned cover dress and colors by series colorist Peter Steigerwald, but will include all the same content as the original printings.

* Image Comics has announced a second printing for the sold-out Glory #23. The new printing will feature a new cover by Ross Campbell and will be in stores on March 14.

* According to Deadline, Denzel Washington is in talks to join Mark Wahlberg in Two Gun, Universal Pictures' adaptation of the BOOM! Studios graphic novel written by Steven Grant.
The movie will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur from a script by Blake Masters.
