* Marvel has announced a June 6 release for it next Marvel Infinite Comic, to be included with June's Avengers VS. X-Men #6.

Following the world changing events of Avengers vs. X-Men #6, Mark Waid, Yves "Balak" Bigerel and Carlo Barberi create story featuring Cyclops and how the world is seen through his eyes.

"After the deafening critical acclaim for the first Infinite Comic, we had to bring Mark Waid back for the next one," said Marvel Senior Editor Nick Lowe. "But joining Mark this time around is Yves Bigerel and Carlo Barberi. Now, not many Marvelites may recognize Bigerel's name, but he is of huge importance to digital comics. His pen name is Balak and he made the comic that solidified for us what digital comics could be. Yves took Waid's rough idea and realized the story-telling and it's going to blow you away. Then, Carlo took Yves storyboards and knocked them out of the park!"

The comic is available in three ways: Free with the redemption of a code found in print copies of Avengers VS. X-Men #6; free with a purchase of the digital copy of Avengers vs. X-Men #6 on the Marvel Comics app and the Marvel Digital Comics Shop; available for $1.99, also on the Marvel Comics app and the Marvel Digital Comics Shop.

DC COMICS NEWS ROUNDUP

DC Comics has announced an August 29 launch for Phantom Lady, a four-issue mini-series written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, with art by Cat Staggs and Rich Perotta.

The mini-series will also feature Doll Man.

"Phantom Lady and Doll Man is an exciting return to the roots of the characters as pulpy, street level crime fighters with a few new twists and some heavy sci-fi overtones,” Justin Gray said. "We took the best of their original core concepts and updated them with no relation to our previous work on Phantom Lady and Doll Man in the Freedom Fighters. You're getting in on the ground floor of the origin story of two people whose lives intersect and a common threat that transforms them into pretty amazing and engaging superheroes."

Amanda Conner provides the cover to #1.

In other DC news:

* Marcus To and Ray McCarthy are guest-artists of The Flash #10-11.

"Flash #10 spotlights the reimagined Weather Wizard and his twisted family tree, and we’re thrilled to welcome artist Marcus To and inker Ray McCarthy on board to tell the tale," editor Matt Idelson said. "Marcus shares studio space with regular Flash artist Francis Manapul, so were keeping things in the family, as it were... and as you can see from the double-page spread below, Marcus is gonna blow through this book like a hurricane! Issue #10 is going to be a blast, but just wait until July's scorching issue #11, where -- fittingly for the height of summer -- you'll be re-introduced to the very nasty, very crispy Heat Wave!"

* DC has announced an August 29 release for Jsutice League International Annual #1.

The book will be written by Geoff Johns and Dan DiDio, with art by Jay Fabok.

"This is the final fate of this incarnation of the Justice League International," DiDio said. "There will be also be a big showdown of events that played out in the final issues of O.M.A.C. The ramifications of this will be felt across the board and will lead directly into a major event spanning across all the Justice League group titles later this year."

Blue Beelte guest-stars in 48-page the annual.

BRIEFLY

* The CW is picking up Arrow as a series, sources have confirmed for The Continuum.

The series, based on DC Comics' Green Arrow, is not a spin-off of Smallville, which also featured a version of the character, played by Justin Hartley.

The cast includes Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and Katie Cassidy as Dinah Lance.

Executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter.

* Producer Edward R. Pressman -- whose credits include Wall Street, American Psycho, The Crow, Bad Lieutenant and Das Boot -- has announced that he has optioned the feature film rights for Archaia Entertainment's graphic novel Feeding Ground, created by Swifty Lang, Michael Lapinski, and Chris Mangun.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon is set to direct, with screenwriter Carlos Coto adapting.

Feeding Ground tells the story of a "coyote," a trafficker of illegal immigrants, forced to smuggle his family into America by crossing the most forbidding part of the Arizona/Mexico border, a searing no- man’s-land known as "The Devil's Highway." Along the way, he and his family clash with U.S. Border Patrol agents, only to realize that the entire party is being hunted by the real monsters that roam the countryside -- werewolves.

"Feeding Ground is an intense and terrifying thriller with a subtle but pointed commentary on immigration in modern America," Pressman said. "The graphic novel is so cinematic in nature -- as soon as I read it, I knew we could make a film that would resonate with a wide audience. Alfonso and Carlos are the perfect talents to bring this vision to the big screen."
