NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. unveiled The Dark Knight Rises paint scheme for his No. 88 Chevrolet on Saturday at the Hendrick Motorsports Fan Fest in Concord, N.C.

Earnhardt's car will have the scheme for the Quicken Loans 400 race in Brooklyn, Michigan on June 17, with the car hitting the track for the first time two days earlier.

The scheme was voted on by fans from four options through a Mountain Dew site; Mountain Dew is also a tie-in sponsor of The Dark Knight Rises. In addition to the Bat Shield on the hood, the redesign features Batman and Bane on either side of the car.

"Dew and Dark Knight fans have spoken, and it's pretty cool that the paint scheme they picked is the one I helped create," Earnhardt said. "Now that the winning design has been selected, I can't wait to see how fans will react to the car on the track in Michigan."

Mountain Dew will launch a new limited-time-only flavor, Mtn Dew Dark Berry, inspired by the film, with special 16-oz cans that feature a bat symbol that transforms to the distinctive green color of Dew when chilled. The offerings will hit shelves in mid-June.
