NEW X-MEN MOVIE IN 2014

Twentieth Century Fox has announced that its next X-Men movie will be in theaters on July 18, 2014.

The sequel will be directed by Matthew Vaughn, who also directed X-Men: First Class.

The movie stands as the third to feature Marvel characters in 2014, following Captain America on April 4 and an as-yet-unamed movie on May 2.

Fox's other release dates include the re-release of Independence Day in 3D on July 3, 2013, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters on August 16, 2013, Robopocalyspe on April 25, 2014 and Dawn of the Apes on May 23, 2014.

AMC TO PREVIEW SEASON 3 OF THE WALKING DEAD

AMC has announced it will air The Walking Dead Season 3 Preview Weekend on Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8 beginning at 11:30 a.m. each day.

The two-day event will feature a marathon of all 19 episodes from the first two seasons, culminating with a Talking Dead live primetime special on Sunday, July 8 at 9 p.m., which will be followed by the world television premiere of the black-and-white version of The Walking Dead pilot episode at 10pm. The special version of the series' first episode was created to hold true to the Image Comics series.

Each episode will be introduced from the set of the production in Atlanta, giving viewers a glimpse of the new sets for Season 3. Cast members and producers will help set up the storyline from each episode, and discuss the classic moments and unique characters featured. In addition, every episode with be wrapped with exclusive character and scene-specific content from the first two seasons, including behind-the-scenes footage and sit-down interviews with the cast.

In the hour-long Talking Dead event, shot live in Los Angeles, viewers will get a first look at The Walking Dead Season 3, including a scene from the new season, and new video interviews with the cast, a tour of the new set and a sneak peek at the props and wardrobes featured in Season 3. Viewers will get information on the show's presence at this year's Comic-Con International, including a look at the construction of The Walking Dead booth, updates on AMC's The Walking Dead Social Game and more.

* Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced Injustice: Gods Among Us, a video game in development by NetherRealm Studios, creators of the fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat. The game is scheduled for release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Wii U.

Here's how the game is described:

"Injustice: Gods Among Us debuts as a bold new fighting game franchise that introduces a deep, original story featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale."

"With Injustice: Gods Among Us, we are creating an all-new franchise with incredible battles set in the DC Comics Universe," said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. * Image Comics has released a third teaser image for Harvest, the five-issue mini-series written by AJ Lieberman, with art by Colin Lorimer.
