* IDW Publishing has announced a 2013 release for Jinnrise, Jabal Entertainment's comic series.
Here's how Jinnrise is described:
"Combining the best of summer blockbuster fare with the weightier underpinnings of 'quest myths' like Lord of the Rings, international student Andrew Marcus' world is torn asunder when interstellar forces, the Kibrani, invade earth. With all hope seemingly lost, what is humanity’s last chance? A long-feared and forgotten race: the Jinn (otherwise known as 'Genies'). Thus begins a quest that may answer the question: What is the nature of true power?"
Jinnrise features sequential art/cover art, inks, and colors from three of 2011's top Kubert School graduates -- Tony Vassallo, Carli Ihde, and Timothy Yates -- and incentive covers from Flag Studios founder Daxiong Guo.
* BOOM! Studios has announced a second printing for Extermination #2. The publisher did not reveal the issue's initial print run.
