SUPERMAN CROSSOVER: "H'EL ON EARTH"

DC Comics has announced "H'el on Earth," a crossover event through the 14th issues of Superman, Superboy and Supergirl in November.

Superboy #14, by Tom DeFalco, R.B. Silve and Rob Lean, guest-stars Supergirl and the Teen Titans. Fresh from the events of Superman #13, Superman's deadliest new foe comes after Kon-El!

The story continues in Supergirl #14, by Mike Johnson and Mahmud Asrar. Supergirl too meets the H'el. But what happens when Kara finds herself agreeing with his pro-Krypton/anti-Earth plans?

In Superman #14, written by Scott Lobdell and illustrateed by Kenneth Rocafort, Superman will be forced to come face to face with the gang's worst nightmare: a creature of unknown Kryptonian origin who is not only more powerful than Superman, but is also smarter than Supergirl and more lethal than Superboy.

In other Marvel news:

* Marvel unveiled the cover to November's Captain America #1, the Marvel NOW! series by Rick Remender and John Romita Jr.

Here's how Marvel describes the series, which will feature Arnim Zola:

"Thrust into a bizarre, inhospitable world far from home, the all-new, high-adventure, mind-melting, tough-as-nails era of Captain America is NOW! With no country and no allies, what's left for Steve Rogers to protect? The Saga of Dimension Z begins here!"

"Indiana Jones high adventure meets Lee & Kirby-flavored science fiction, as Captain America embarks on the adventure of two lifetimes," said Axel Alonso, Marvel's editor-in-chief. "To survive a gauntlet of challenges so outlandish that only Rick and John could have concocted them, Cap will have to re-examine who he is and what he stands for, and confront an unexamined period in the life of a young man named Steve Rogers."

"This won't be Cap getting orders and going off to serve S.H.I.E.L.D., this is going to be Steve dealing with threats he sees and at first he's a bit reactionary." Remender said. "He'll be dealing with the day-to-day and doing his normal thing and when our story opens the inciting incident will change his life so dramatically that in ten issues he'll be an entirely different person."

* Marvel unveiled the cover to November's X-Men Legeacy #1, the Marvel NOW! series by Simon Spurrier and Tan Eng Huat.

Here's how Marvel describes the series:

"Legion, the most powerful and unstable mutant in the world and son to Professor Charles Xavier, has killed gods and reshaped the face of the universe. NOW! in the aftermath of Avengers vs. X-Men, Legion will finally attempt to conquer his demons and establish his place among mutantkind!"

"Simon and Tan continue the proud tradition of Mike Carey and Christos Gage, turning their laser-sights on a single X-Men character -- the fascinating and complicated Legion," Alonso said. "From a windswept rehabilitation camp for damaged psychics to the horrific sci-fi prison of Legion's own mind, readers will embark on a journey unlike anything they've ever experienced on an X-Men title, as Legion struggles with his tortured family legacy and bumps shoulders with characters that span the X-Men Universe. 'Yours ain't a life where the guy with the biggest pecs wins the day,' Legion is told in issue #1. And truer words were never spoken."

"We've got the son of Professor Charles Xavier slicing, smashing and exploding his name into the history books of mutantkind," Spurrier said.
