* The Dark Knight Rises placed seventh at the box office over the weekend with $5.4 million, pushing its total to $431.2 million. The film is now in ninth place all time at the domestic box office, within reach of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial ($435.1 million) and Shrek 2 ($441.2 million) for eighth and seventh place.
The Avengers, bowing out of the theaters on Labor Day weekend, brought in $1.7 million, to push its total to $619.5 million, third best all time. The movie has now passed $1.5 billion worldwide.
The Avengers will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 25.
* The Saturday, Sept. 8 episode of Iron Man: Amored Adventures on The CW's Vortexx will be "Secrets and Lies."
Here's how the network describes the episode:
"The Mandarin believes Tony Stark can find the missing Makluan Rings, so he plans to get close to him in his true identity... 16-year-old Gene Khan. But after enrolling at Tony's school, Gene's other life comes crashing in on both kids -- Maggia henchmen Unicorn and Killer Shrike take Tony, Gene, and Pepper hostage in their escalating efforts to undermine The Mandarin and his Tong triad. Now Tony and Gene have to protect their respective secret identities as Iron Man and the Mandarin, but more importantly... they have to survive."
* The Saturday, Sept. 8 episode of Justice League Unlimited on The CW's Vortexx will be "Hawk and Dove."

"Wonder Woman teams up with two super powered brothers, one warlike, the other a pacifist, to stop Ares' plans to escalate a European civil war into World War III."
