DC NATION SHORTS: SEASON PREMIERE

Cartoon Network has released imagery and a preview clips from the season premiere DC Nation shorts airing on Cartoon Network Saturday, Sept. 29.

Here's how the shorts are described:
"JL Animals (is) a hilarious take on Justice League, where animal versions of classic DC heroes show off their wild sides while facing trouble on the farm. Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld follows the adventures of nerdy and introverted Amy Winston as she does battle with the evil Dark Opal as Amethyst, the powerful princess and protector of Gem World."

MARVEL COMICS NEWS ROUNDUP
Marvel Comics has announced a December launch for Cable and X-Force, an ongoing Marvel NOW! title by writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Salvador Larroca.
Here's how Marvel describes the book:
"Cable is back NOW! He has a new X-Force consisting of Colossus, Forge, Domino and Dr. Nemesis and they are all caught red-handed at the scene of a terrorist attack on a major American corporation whose CEO has expressed anti-mutant views. Now Cable and X-Force are on the run, with the Uncanny Avengers in hot pursuit."
"The X-Force that Cable's leading is a group of outlaws trying to save the world," Hopeless said. "They're fugitives being chased across the globe and doing what good they can while always looking back over their shoulders. There's not much room for error on this team."
"We knew the return of Cable had to be big and this is going to be one of the most explosive Marvel NOW! launches," said Axel Alonso, editor-in-chief. "Dennis and Salvador are bringing a new look and feel to the X-Force, with a story that hearkens back to the core themes that made them such a phenomenon while moving them forward in an exciting way."

DC COMICS NEWS ROUNDUP
DC Comics has announced that artist Alberto Ponticelli has joined writer China Mieville on Dial H with #7, to be released on Dec. 5.
Here's how DC describes the issue, which starts a new story arc:
"Nelson and Manteau are off to Europe in search of a relic that might hold the answer to their secret powers! Meanwhile, a powerful stranger arrives in Littleville to await their return."
