STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS - "SECRET WEAPONS"

Lucasfim has released two clips and a gallery of images from "Secret Weapons," the episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars premiering on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Here's how the episode is described:

"R2-D2 is part of a team of Republic droids chosen for an important mission led by the diminutive Colonel Gascon (voiced by Stephen Stanton) to obtain an encryption module from a Separatist dreadnought. The droids must overcome numerous challenging obstacles to succeed in this crucial assignment."

* Auctioneer Barrett-Jackson, has announced that it will offer a prized Batmobile at its 42nd annual Scottsdale auction on Jan. 19. This Batmobileis the only 1955 Lincoln Futura concept car that was heavily modified by George Barris to become the original 1966 Batmobile in the live-action TV series Batman, as well as the movie adaptation, starring Adam West.

* The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and The Amazing Spider-Man are among the 10 finalists in the Visual Effects category for the Academy Awards.

Other films nominated include Cloud Atlas, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, John Carter, Life of Pi, Prometheus, Skyfall and Snow White and the Huntsman.

The field will be trimmed to five finalists.

* Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a trailer for Injustice Gods Among Us that introduces Deathstroke.

* BOOM! Studios has revealed more details about its Hellraiser: The Dark Watch ongoing series that launches in February.

Here's how the book is described:

"Nothing is as simple as it seems -- the old ways have been destroyed and a dangerous new world lies in its wake. Where are Elliott Spencer and Kirsty Cotton? Who will rule and who will serve?"

The book will be written by Hellraiser creator Clive Barker and Brandon Seifert, with art by Tom Garcia.

"I grew up with Hellraiser and Clive's novels -- so it's a huge, surreal honor to be collaborating with him on The Dark Watch," Seifert said. "Under Clive's direction, the Hellraiser ongoing series has gone in some radically different directions over the last two years. I'm really excited for what's next -- and even more excited that I get to be involved."
