The second season of Superboy in 1989-90 saw Gerard Christopher take over the role as the Boy of Steel. The three-disc collection features 26 episodes and such villains as Lex Luthor, Metallo, Bizarro, Mr. Mxyzptlk and Yellow Peri.

Guest-stars include George Lazenby and Britt Ekland as Jor-El and Lara; Philip Michael Thomas as Brimstone; Michael Callan as Metallo; and Michael J. Pollard as Mr. Mxyzptik.
