BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, PART 2

Warner Home Video has released the first clip from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2, scheduled to be in stores on Jan. 29.

ARROW: "BURNED"

The CW has released a gallery of images and a description from the "Burned" episode of Arrow, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Here's how The CW describes the episode:

"Oliver's (Stephen Amell) confidence is shaken after being beaten by the Dark Archer, and he takes a break from being Arrow. However, when Laurel (Katie Cassidy) calls Arrow for help investigating a firefighter's suspicious death, he reluctantly agrees but his hesitance while fighting almost costs him his life. Meanwhile, Tommy (Colin Donnell) throws a benefit for the firefighters and Thea (Willa Holland) tries to lift Moira (Susanna Thompson) out of her depressive state."

The episode was directed by Eagle Egilsson and written by Moira Kirland and Ben Sokolowski.

ASPEN COMICS UNVEILS 10 FOR 10, JAM POSTER

Aspen Comics has unveiled the full slate for its 10 for 10 initiative, including a jam poster highlighingt its new series launches.

During the initiative, which celebrates Aspen's 10th anniversary, Aspen will debut a new series each month beginning in February. The series will feature five new and five relaunched properties, and the first issues of each series will be offered for $1.

The full list of titles is as follows:

February: Legend of the Shadow Clan.

March: Shrugged Volume 2.

April: Jirni.

May: Charismagic Volume 2.

June: BubbleGun.

JulyAll New Fathom.

August: Awaken Skies/Overtaken.

September: Executive Assistant: Iris Volume 4.

October: Trish Out of Water.

NovemberAll New Soulfire.

Aspen is also offering special Aspen Reserved Edition covers for each new 10 for 10 release. Readers who add each 10 for 10 release at their local comic shop's subscription service will be eligible to purchase the "Reserved Edition" covers. Fans who purchase all of the 10 for 10 releases will then be eligible to receive the full-size Aspen "Perfect Tens" poster featuring all 10 Reserved Edition covers by the series artists and colored by Peter Steigerwald.

Readers will also be able to choose the adventure for August's 10 for 10 release between two new series: Awaken Skies and Overtaken. Aspen will feature an online voting poll, as well as an in-store voting ballot at comic shops in the coming weeks to allow the public to vote on which property they would like to see in August. The publisher will reveal more details about the voting process soon.

ADVENTURE TIME FOR JANUARY

Following are new episodes of Adventure Time, scheduled to air at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network. (Schedule is subject to change).

Monday, January 7: "Jake the Dad" -- Jake's a daddy, but being a father and keeping his rainicorn pups from killing themselves or each other is a lot harder than he imagined.

Monday, January 14: "Davey" -- Finn can't go anywhere without folks stopping to thank him for being a hero.

Monday, January 21: "Mystery Dungeon" -- Ice King, NEPTR, Tree Trunks, Shelby and Lemongrab are trapped inside a mysterious dungeon and must work together to free themselves.

Monday, January 28: "All Your Fault" -- Princess Bubblegum sends Finn and Jake to investigate a message of distress from the Earls of Lemongrab.



BRIEFLY

* Paramount Pictures has released 11 new stills from Star Trek Into Darkness, arriving in theaters on May 17.

Here's how the movie is described:

"In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

"As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew."
